M Squared's client is a large diversified Fortune 100 Financial Institution. The client needs two consultants for this engagement and expects the work will take 18 months. These positions will be W2'd and the consultants will be benefits-eligible for the term of the project. Benefits include Medical, Dental, 401k and more! Interviews will take place in late March, with an early April start date. Consultants will work full time in the client’s downtown San Francisco office. There will be no travel involved with these projects.

The Project:

This long-term project is for their internet services group. The consultant will provide expert project management and business analysis leadership for specific projects tied to an over-arching effort to improve how money is moved via the Internet.

This initiative addresses both the improvement of existing products, as well as new product ideation/development for all modes of payment and money transfers to individuals and financial institutions online. Examples of the type of projects we may work on include:
a) Improvement of our client’s existing desktop deposits product that allows small businesses to utilize a hardware tool that scans checks at their place of business to be automatically credited to the business’s account;
b) Conceptualization, development and implementation of new payments solutions for moving money between different institutions.

M Squared project management and business analysis experts will be responsible for:

Deliverables to include:

•Comprehensive project plan(s) with complete scoping documentation
•Ownership (including tracking, follow-up and closure) of action items and open issues list
•Formal and informal (where appropriate) project management tools that enable all team members to be effective
•Phasing leadership: detailing of the project implementation phases
•A day-to-day workable project plan that uses small-scale milestones across implementation areas to ensure consistent forward movement of the implementation, including formal tracking and reporting of progress

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Industry Experience:

•Financial Services strongly preferred

Functional Experience:

•Internet experience
•PMP certified to ensure baseline standardization, commonality of terms
•RUP (Rational Unified Process) experience preferred
•Strong project management skills with successful outcomes
•Strong analytical and planning experience
