Job description:
The Client Principal and Project/Program Managers work along side a team of consultants that include Practice Principal, Marketing Managers, Solution Architects and Technical Consultants with the responsibility to create and manage delivery of IT solutions. The target markets include State and Local, Education, Non-Profits and SMB businesses.

Typical project will be an IT initiative developed by a team consisting of customer and the customer facing consults. This team includes Business Development Manager, Program/Project Manager, technical and contract management personnel. Proven best practices based consultative solution sales and development methodologies are used to assess customer needs, perform gap analysis which lead to project initiatives. Standard Project Management methodologies and tools are used to manage customer relationships and project implementation.

This customer facing position and requires a good all round experience in customer interactions, communications, project P&L, resource selection, team management, and monitoring and reporting project performance.

Education, training, experience:
Job Requirements

? Ten+ years of relevant technical project/product management experience in a consulting or product development environment. 5-7 years of managing projects, or supervising technical and non-technical personnel.
? Demonstrated success in creating project plans and delivering projects on time and on budget.
? Must be familiar and have worked in fast paced customer facing consulting environments
? Excellent communication and presentation skills.
? Experienced at creating and managing solution contracts
? Experienced at selecting and managing project resources
? Market experience in one of the following is required: Non-Profits, Educations, State and Local Government
? Domain and Industry focus in IT, Services, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Finance and Security
? Must have successful IT project experience using Microsoft, Oracle or SAP package technologies
? Foreign Language, (Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean) is a plus.


Responsibilities

? Lead customer facing projects and solution teams
? Interact with customer and internal functional teams to support business development, project requirement gathering, analysis and creating project plans
? Be responsible for ensuring project plan are created which can be delivered within agreed baseline
? Manage stakeholder relationships, communications and reporting
? Manage procurements and project resources

Skills

? Must have project management tools experience with MS Project - Primavera /PlanView is a plus. Must be familiar with project portfolio management tools and techniques
? Must be experienced in discovery, workflow, business analysis and brainstorming tools and techniques (Visio, Mindmap, etc.)
? Musts have experience in business, financial and ROI analysis
? Must have experience with MS Office 2007 Suite (Word, PPT, XLS, Outlook, Communicator), SharePoint and virtual desktop tools
? Ability to interact at C level

Education and Certifications

? Business or MBA with an Engineering degree is highly desirable
? Masters in Science/Math/Engineering is a plus
